Preheat oven to 400°F
Heat butter, garlic, thyme and salt in a small saucepan. When you smell the fragrance from the garlic, turn off the heat.
Cut the bread on horizontally but do not cut all the way through.
Open each slice of bread, brush garlic butter and stuff ham and cheese into the bread.
Beat one egg in an oven proof pan. Put the bread on top. Brush the remaining butter on the bread.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Garnish with thyme and green onion.
