Shrimp Toast

One of my favorite guilty pleasures, shrimp toast is a tempting crispy dish that is difficult to know how much you’ve eaten. A perfect appetizer to serve at a dinner party.

Shrimp Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 12 shrimps 
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 egg white
  • ½ cup green onion
  • 3 slices of white bread
  • White and black sesame seeds

sauce

  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp chili oil

Instructions
 

  • Add shrimps, salt, sugar, sesame oil, pepper, cornstarch, grated ginger, egg white and green onion to a food processor.  Pulse until finely minced.
  • Spread mixture among the white bread.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds.  Cut into the shape you want.
  • Heat oil in a small stockpot to 350°F.  Place shrimp toast with the shrimp pasta side down.  Fry until golden brown.  Turn them over and fry the other side.  Transfer to paper towel to drain.  
  • Serve with sauce.
