One of my favorite guilty pleasures, shrimp toast is a tempting crispy dish that is difficult to know how much you’ve eaten. A perfect appetizer to serve at a dinner party.
Shrimp Toast
Ingredients
- 12 shrimps
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 egg white
- ½ cup green onion
- 3 slices of white bread
- White and black sesame seeds
sauce
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp chili oil
Instructions
- Add shrimps, salt, sugar, sesame oil, pepper, cornstarch, grated ginger, egg white and green onion to a food processor. Pulse until finely minced.
- Spread mixture among the white bread. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cut into the shape you want.
- Heat oil in a small stockpot to 350°F. Place shrimp toast with the shrimp pasta side down. Fry until golden brown. Turn them over and fry the other side. Transfer to paper towel to drain.
- Serve with sauce.
