Prawn with Feta Cheese

I tried this dish when I was on a cruise @sunsetoia in Oia, Greece.  I was in love with it.  They were super nice as to share the recipe too. This shrimp dish is reminiscent of one of my favourite comfort foods, lasagna. The dish gives a lighter and less intense weight of a heavy food.

Prawn with Feta Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb raw prawn, shelled and devised
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat up a pan with olive oil.  Sauté garlic and onion until they are aromatic.  
  • Then add tomato and cook for few minutes.  Add prawns and cook until slightly grey.   
  • Add wine and sugar and cook the shrimp until they become an opaque whitish color.  
  • Lastly, add feta cheese and basil.
