Pan-Fried Pork Belly

Crunchy and golden brown is what this dish embodies, It is filling and fatty providing a crunch that rivals kettle chips and the taste to match. The amber/golden colour catches the light like a radiating sun. 

Pan-Fried Pork Belly

Ingredients
  

  • 300 grams sliced pork belly
  • Vermicelli
  • Perilla leave

Marinade

  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sake

Sauce

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tsp sugar

Instructions
 

  • Marinate sliced pork with ginger, salt and sake.
  • Heat oil in a pan and sauté pork.  Remove the pork.  Add sauce.
  • Serve with vermicelli, perilla leaves and sauce.
