Miso baked oyster

The oysters are sad when unflavoured, but baking them with miso makes everyone happy with the flavour of miso a perfect match for oysters. This makes for an easy appetizer that will make a big impression on your guests.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 oysters shucked
  • 1/2 cup japanese mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp miso paste
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 tsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Shuck oysters, reserving bottom shell
  • Mix mayonnaise, mirin, miso paste, cilantro, sriracha sauce, sugar and lemon juice.  Salt and pepper to taste.  Top each oyster with 1 tbsp of the mixture.
  • Bake, uncovered at 450°F for about 6 to 8 min
