The oysters are sad when unflavoured, but baking them with miso makes everyone happy with the flavour of miso a perfect match for oysters. This makes for an easy appetizer that will make a big impression on your guests.
Miso baked oyster
Ingredients
- 6 oysters shucked
- 1/2 cup japanese mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp miso paste
- 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
- 1 tsp sriracha sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Shuck oysters, reserving bottom shell
- Mix mayonnaise, mirin, miso paste, cilantro, sriracha sauce, sugar and lemon juice. Salt and pepper to taste. Top each oyster with 1 tbsp of the mixture.
- Bake, uncovered at 450°F for about 6 to 8 min
