Steamed Pork Ribs with Black Bean Sauce

Classic essential Chinese dish, typically eaten with rice. Super savoury dish served in almost all dim sum restaurants.

Steamed Pork Ribs with Black Bean Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb spare ribs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp black bean, minced
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sriracha
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions
 

  • Marinate spare ribs with garlic, black bean, oyster sauce, sriracha, sugar, cornstarch and water for 30 minutes.  Add sesame oil when the marinated spare ribs are ready to steam.  
  • Set the stove to the highest heat and boil the water.  Once the water is boiled, place the bamboo steamer in a wok and steam for 20 minutes.
