Ham and Cheese Pull-Apart Bread

A Vietnamese sub that has meat and cheese melted into the bun has a great mix of flavors that cooks well together with amazing aromas

Ham and Cheese Pull-Apart Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small Vietnam baguette
  • 10 pieces salami thinly sliced
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 cup shredded cheese
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme

garlic butter

  • 8 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F
  • Heat butter, garlic, thyme and salt in a small saucepan.  When you smell the fragrance from the garlic, turn off the heat.
  • Cut the bread on horizontally but do not cut all the way through.
  • Open each slice of bread, brush garlic butter and stuff ham and cheese into the bread.
  • Beat one egg in an oven proof pan.  Put the bread on top.  Brush the remaining butter on the bread.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with thyme and green onion.
