Scallops With Grand Marnier

These scallops are great to start a meal with. This has a tangy taste from the oranges that pairs amazingly with the sea scallop. This super quick recipe is so easy to make and I am sure you will be able to impress your guests.

Scallops With Grand Marnier

Ingredients
  

  • 10 bay scallops
  • 1/4 cups grand marnier
  • 1 shallot thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp basil chopped
  • 1 /2 cup orange juice
  • 1 /2 cup chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 orange garnish
  • 1 tbsp pistachio chopped
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp flour thicken
  • 3 tbsp water thicken

Instructions
 

  • Pat dry scallops, season scallops with salt and pepper and lightly dust with
  • Sear both sides and cook until they are opaque. Transfer scallops to a plate.
  • Add shallots to a pan and cook for a minute, then add Grand Marnier, chicken broth, orange juice, basil, butter and thicken the sauce. You might need to add some flour mixed with water to help thicken the sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with orange and pistachio.
