These scallops are great to start a meal with. This has a tangy taste from the oranges that pairs amazingly with the sea scallop. This super quick recipe is so easy to make and I am sure you will be able to impress your guests.
Scallops With Grand Marnier
Ingredients
- 10 bay scallops
- 1/4 cups grand marnier
- 1 shallot thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp basil chopped
- 1 /2 cup orange juice
- 1 /2 cup chicken broth
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 orange garnish
- 1 tbsp pistachio chopped
- salt & pepper
- 1 tsp flour thicken
- 3 tbsp water thicken
Instructions
- Pat dry scallops, season scallops with salt and pepper and lightly dust with
- Sear both sides and cook until they are opaque. Transfer scallops to a plate.
- Add shallots to a pan and cook for a minute, then add Grand Marnier, chicken broth, orange juice, basil, butter and thicken the sauce. You might need to add some flour mixed with water to help thicken the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with orange and pistachio.
