This beautiful golden dish is immensely flavourful and potent with Chinese salted eggs providing the main feature of said recipe. Its great to enjoy as a side dish during dinner with the family.
Salted Egg Yolk Prawns
Ingredients
- 10 prawns, deveined, peeled and cleaned
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 salty egg yolk, mashed
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- Green onion, optional
- Bird eye chilli, optional
Marinade
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cooking wine
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Dry the prawn well with a paper towel. Marinate the prawn with salt and cooking wine for 10 minutes. Sprinkle cornstarch over the prawns.
- Heat a frying pan and cook each side for a minute. Remove and set aside.
- Heat butter in a pan until melted. Add mashed salty egg yolk into the melted butter. Mix well with the butter until foamy. Add garlic into the yolks until fragrant. Add back prawns and stir-fry quickly.
