Gochujang Lo Mein

This spicy Korean-Chinese fusion mixes the best of Chinese seafood sauces and Korean heat into one. This mix of flavours is amazing and is easy to make.

Gochujang Lo Mein

Ingredients
  

  • 500g of pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, thinly sliced
  • 2 shrimp egg noodles

Marinade

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp chicken broth mix
  • 1 tsp cooking wine

Sauce

  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chilli oil

Instructions
 

  • Marinate pork tenderloin with soy sauce, sugar, chicken broth mix and cooking wine for 30 minutes.
  • Mix sauce and set aside.  
  • Heat pan with oil, sauté shallot and garlic until fragrant.  Add marinated pork and cook until they are almost cooked.  Add sauce and mix well.  Served with cooked noodles.
