Lo Mein with pork and dried tofu

A noodle dish where you can choose the noodles that go with this dish. The tasty mix of pork and tofu fried in a wok is great. You can use any noodles you like.

Lo Mein with pork and dried tofu

Ingredients
  

  • 200 grams noodles
  • 1 package dried tofu cut into cubes
  • 250 grams pork tenderloin cut into thin strips
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 shallots minced
  • 3 tbsp chili bean paste
  • 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp water

pork tenderloin marinade

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ginger minced
  • 1 tsp Chinese cooking wine

Instructions
 

  • Marinate pork for 20 minutes
  • In a hot wok, fry shallot, garlic for a minute.  Then add dried tofu and cook for few minutes.  
  • Next add pork and cook for another few minutes.  
  • Now you can add chili bean paste, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sugar, water and bring it to boil.  
  • Mix your cornstarch and water, slowly add to your tofu and pork.  Reduce slightly.  
  • Cook your noodles according the package.
