Chinese Broccoli with Beef 芥蘭牛肉

An easy to make healthy main dish with broccoli and beef, the textures created by the wok makes the broccoli pop in your mouth.

Chinese Broccoli with Beef 芥蘭牛肉

Ingredients
  

  • 100 grams beef thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound Chinese broccoli
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 shallot sliced
  • 2 peices ginger
  • 2 tbsp Chinese cooking wine

beef marinade

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chicken broth mix
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper

sauce

  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp chicken broth mix
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tsp cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • Marinate beef for 30 minutes
  • Mix the sauce and set it aside
  • Fill wok with water, add sugar, oil and bring it to boil.   Add Chinese broccoli and cook for a minute.   Drain and set it aside.
  • Add more oil to the wok, add ginger, shallot and garlic, cook for a minute.  Then add Chinese broccoli and cook for a minutes.  Then return the beef and cook for another minute.  Then add Chinese cooking wine.  Constantly stirring and then add sauce.  Wait until the sauce begins to thicken, then you can turn off the heat.
